About Monroe Lab's Services

Machine and skill commodification has altered the structure and expectations of the IT industry. On the hardware end, the glut of low-priced machines evaporates the mist of special-ness that once surrounded computing machinery in our mind's eye.

On the services end, the increasing migration of call centers, programming tasks and other remote-able categories of work has all but destroyed the aura which once surrounded IT careers. Combine this with a belief in dramatic technology improvement and soon-to-be-realized artificial intelligence and you have the makings of an intriguing moment.

These converging trends have produced a de-emphasis on the importance of technologists and a belief that their labor can be outsourced or done without. Nevertheless, the need for local, competent, systems focused infrastructure talent persists.

In short, though you may not know it, you need me.

Oh yes, you do.
