Redesign note: This is a screenshot of the original MaxSpeak.org blog. The client originally used Movable Type's default blog template.The client wanted to preserve the logo style and the font which he felt conveyed a retro, newspaper-style theme. The client also appreciated the retro look because both the personal Web site and blog are dedicated to the theme of reviving populism in the U.S. Thus, Ink Works used a muted red, white, and blue theme, adding elements that would harken back to the first few decades of the 20th century. To that end, the client favored the retro look of the old-style radio microphone and the whimisical graphics such as a slinky for the blog roll. |
